Paula Zahn: The Wicked Witch of the East  

As the Permanent Revolution axis continues its STOP BUCHANAN campaign, FOX news’ Paula Zahn continues to play one of the point guards.

When interviewing the Teamsters President, Jimmy Hoffa, during the Republican Convention shortly before the W. Bush acceptance speech, Paula Zahn, host of The Edge on FOX, asks Hoffa what the chances are that the Teamsters would endorse Bush, Gore, or Nader – that it would mean a lot to all of them. Hoffa said he was keeping his options open.

Get it? Zahn is sending the FOX audience the message that Buchanan is so unimportant, is so “out of it” – that he’s not worth mentioning in the same breath with the great Nader, Bush, and Gore.

This tops off Zahn’s repeated performances of asking Buchanan on her talk show and then spending the whole interview of about 7 minutes grilling him on why his poll numbers are so bad, isn’t it hopeless, etc. etc. etc.

All the while Zahn keeps that little witchy smile pasted on to try and camouflage the hate and disdain in her eyes for the Buchanan message and the Buchanan movement.

Zahn works out of New York – she gets our “Wicked Witch of the East”award for this campaign season.
