If you are planning to come to the Citizens for a Fair Count Convention on August 25, 26, and 27, 2000, or if you have questions, -- here are some announcements:

1. If you want a quick answer about the convention from here on in, please call 513-389-7700 or 513-481-1992. I am getting so many emails on items relevant and irrelevant to the convention, that I can’t guarantee I will see your email in a timely manner.

2. Of the 20 “scholarships” we have offered thanks to a generous person, only 5 have been claimed. If you can get to Cincinnati, or if you live in the area, and if you can find a place to stay, then these scholarships will get you into all conferences free. As we said last time we mentioned this, like the sign says at a local Deli “If you want more or less of something on your sandwich, just say so, but please be fair.” In other words, we WANT any who will be able to attend with these “scholarships” to do so – but we hope that they go to those who truly need the help at this time – or to students who are interested.

3. Here are the convention times: Friday 8 PM to 10 PM or so (Overview of issue, Friday Night at the Movies with rare video clips on this issue). Saturday 9 AM to 6 PM (wall to wall speakers), then 7:00 PM to about 10 PM – (Lifetime Achievement Award to Colliers and this period will be the action and strategy session). Sunday 11 AM to 2 PM (Presidential Candidate Howard Phillips, Linda Muller, webmaster of buchanan.org, and freedom award to Mystery Guest. – Who’s the Mystery Guest? See Tomorrow.)

4. The only meal deal is a package: $60 for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner – this is our cost from the Radisson Inn. (This is the Radisson Inn at the Greater Cincinnati Airport.--- and, just to confuse things real good, the Greater Cincinnati Airport is in Northern Kentucky.) You can get or bring your own meals – but at the banquet, everyone will be welcome into the Presentation and Strategy session which follows.

5. If you plan to stay at the Radisson Hotel, call them and make your reservation. They will accommodate up to 4 in a room, with beds rolled in if need be. That would be about $20 per night per person -- if 4 stayed in a room – half of Motel 6 or Super 8 hotels on average. If we achieve as a group 120 rooms stayed in (that would be like 60 rooms stayed in Friday Night, and 60 rooms stayed Saturday night) we get the convention conference room free.

6. Tables – if you have something you want to display on a table, tables are free with advance notice and with approval of items. Votescam books will be available from the Colliers; The Spotlight, which has so energetically promoted this CFVC convention -- will have a table, as will Tom Valentine; several authors will also have their books on sale.

7. Thanks to all of you who have been so helpful in spreading the word – this will be a time you will not soon forget, and see the next few days for the several PURPOSES and GOALS of the convention.
